We are very proud to announce that our surveyor, Laura De Wel, is one of Breakbulk’s 40 most dynamic and influential professionals under the age of 40 !
After spending time at sea as a merchant marine deck officer, Laura quickly became one of Antwerp’s leading marine surveyors. She has also co-developed and managed several worldwide ship inspection programmes.
The award showcases rising stars, under the age of 40, in an important sector of marine commerce.
AntwerpXL is a major conference focusing on breakbulk shipping – that is cargo not transported in containers.
This award is designed to identify and celebrate younger players within the industry, showcase their contributions and encourage innovation.

The 40 will be VIP guests of honour at the live show of AntwerpXL, set to be held in October 2022. They will be greeted to the event with a special drinks reception held in their honour and invited to a special Next Gen debate as part of the conference.
